Marti Caputi
Board Member

I grew up in Modesto California and attended Modesto Junior College and California State University Stanislaus where I majored in liberal arts. I married Arthur Caputi in 1963 and were married 52 years at the time of his death in 2015. Art was a vice president of Research for Gallo winery for 50 years at the time of his retirement in 2000.

I was a stay-at-home mom for our daughter, Amy, and was involved in all school-related activities such as room mother, PTA, volunteer librarian, brownie and girl scout troop leader and other volunteer groups, such as Hospice, Omega Nu Charitable Sorority and Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

In 2005 Art and I left California and everyone and everything we knew and came to Bellingham where we ‘discovered’ the Bellingham Festival of Music. Oh what a joy that was! We have home hosted 3 musicians every summer for the last 17 years and they have become family to us.

I have been a board member since 2008 and have been involved in the Musician’s Welcome Picnic, Annual Meeting, Farewell Picnic and Auction committee and anywhere else I’m needed.
