Visit Us in Bellingham
Bellingham, one of the best kept secrets in the Pacific Northwest, is situated just 50 miles south of Vancouver, BC and 89 miles north of Seattle. Ferries to the San Juan Islands and to the historic city of Victoria on Vancouver Island are close at hand.
Home to Western Washington University, Bellingham is a growing and vibrant community with some of the most outstanding natural resources in the world. Situated on Bellingham Bay in the northern Puget Sound area, Bellingham looks out to Mount Baker, just 45 minutes east of Bellingham, and over two large beautiful lakes, Lake Whatcom and Lake Samish, as well as several smaller lakes. Adding to the serene beauty of the area there’s scenic Chuckanut Drive, more forested hiking and biking trails than one can count, and the quaint Fairhaven District.
The Fairhaven District
Overlooking Bellingham Bay, the historic Fairhaven District has a charm all its own. Many of the original red brick buildings, relics of Fairhaven’s Victorian era, still can be found in the federally designated historic district’s six square-blocks. Fairhaven residents are intensely proud of their community and have taken great care in preserving its character. Visitors from far and near are always welcome! You will find fine restaurants, other charming shops, and delightful waterside trails.
