Bellingham Festival of Music The Bellingham Festival of Music is a not-for-profit organization administered by volunteers. It's goal is to bring truly exceptional symphonic music to Bellingham each summer. The annual dinner auction is the major fundraising event for the Festival. This year's auction was held on April 16 at the Lakeway Inn. Spearheaded by auction committee co-chairs Sally Chapman and Herb Fine, this year's gala was gratifyingly successful, thanks to generous donors and guests.. Despite a challenging economic environment, the auction raised more than $75,000. Attendees included Bellingham Mayor Dan Pike and WWU president Bruce Shepard and his wife Cindy. We were also fortunate that Artistic Director Michael Palmer was able to fly here from Atlanta for the event. Music was provided by Grant Donnellan, Concertmaster for the Whatcom Symphony. Auctioneer John Curley, the former KING-TV personality entertained guests as he encouraged their generosity. The Festival organizers thank everyone who helped bring this event to fruition.
